If that is the case and he can play through it then I say go ahead. Hell, he threw 4 TDs with a broken leg/ankle. If there is even a slight chance of making it worse then get the surgery. Obviously that is up to him and the team. I also don't think the NFC East is as bad as you think. Not a powerhouse division by any means, but I think it will be a tight division all year.
