J. Nedney(SF)(@Ten) or T. Peterson(Atl)(@Det)?

Hi All,

 

I thought about doing it last week, but unfortunately I didn't take advantage of the option, but I was wondering if I should do it for Week 12:

 

Should I play J. Nedney(SF-K)(@Ten) for Week 12 or T. Peterson (Atl-K)(@Det)?

 

Although Nedney's on the 49ers (should I be concerned about Nedney?), he seemed to be doing better than Peterson for the last 4 weeks (although both have been doing well). Prior to 4 weeks ago, Peterson seemed to have better games than Nedney. However, this is a very crucial week and need all the points I can get!

Actually in more detail:

 

The plan for week 12 is:

 

Drop Peterson

Keep Stover, but bench him

Add Nedney and start him for week 12

Could depend on a few factors:

 

1. Weather in Tennessee. Yeah, Nedney's leg is about the only thing that scores for SF, but if it's wet, cold, nasty, who knows... then perhaps he's not a great option. Also, it APPEARED that SF was moving the ball well against Seattle. Granted, SF is a much different (read: worse) team on the road.

 

2. If you think a short week affects a kicker. I, personally, do not. Do you think ATL wants to lose 3 weeks in a row? No way. ATL's gonna need every single point. Whether that means Peterson gets a ton of FGs or not is a big question.

 

I'd personally go with the dome kicker. But Nedney's certainly got merits, especially if the weather in Tennessee isn't bad.
