Those ships are being constructed at Avondale Shipyards and here in Pascagoula, MS by Northrop Grumman Ship Systems. rajn and I work in the ship building industry for the Navy. Our company sector works for the Navy and acts as representation in many highly technical areas, ensuring the shipbuilder is in compliance, and so forth. We are currently working on the DDG (Destroyer) class contract, but other guys in our office are working LPD. rajn and I have both worked on the LPD contract previously as well. The new contract for the next generation of Destroyers DD(X) should hopefully keep progressing and get rolling here soon. Those ships should be awesome as well.
