WSOP Updates?

Anyone know where to get current WSOP updates? I'm kinda' curious as to how it's going, but haven't been able to find real-time or close to real-time info so far. I think maybe someone bought the rights to this thing (not sure which rights) and is restricting the ability of others to circulate this info.

I did read somewhere that Phil Hellmuth had made the money in event #2 and was still playing. This is essentially event #1 as the first event is for casino employees only.

Here you go, pretty consistent updates. Juan Carlos Mortensen has the chip lead right now.

cardplayer.com has updates that get posted every 10 minutes or so.

It's the best I have found.. but blocked at work.

Yeah, that one looks good too. And they are the ones I was referring to in my initial post, I believe they have purchased some sort of exclusive right to report WSOP 2006 results.

Now here's a question - event #2, which is a $1500 NL HE event, is still going, with maybe 100 or more players left. In the meantime, event #3, a $1500 pot-limit HE tournament, has now begun.

I guess this is obvious, but it's news to me - when a player does well and goes deep into a given event, he is then typically precluded from playing the following event because they are going on simultaneously? So what if I had already won an entry to event #3 in a satellite, but then I end up going deep into event #2 after that - I guess they just blind me off in event #3 unless and until I get there?

I don't know if anyone here knows how this all works, I'm just trying to get a handle on it myself.

This happens fairly often... and usually the start times are staggered so the new tourney starts earlier than the 2nd/3rd day of the other tourney (or vice versa), so, what you see is those players still alive in both tournaments will play very aggressivley to build up eough of a stack so they can survive the blinds when htey go to the other tourney.
