SteelBunz
Goings is great but if they are so high on him then why did they draft Williams in the first place? Fox has never been "high on him"......that's my point. No one really knows why (I don't think)....but Fox has never felt he'd EVER be the goto guy. He doesn't make waves...works hard.....does what he's asked and doesn't complain. He's not a squeeky wheel trying to get greased.....LOL. Be that as it may....Fox DOES want him on his team. But given the choice of Kevin Faulk or Nick Goings....if I were a head coach.....I'd take Goings every day of the week.....and twice on Sundays. JMO. PantherDave
Well, the running game will improve when Smith get's back on the feild-the entire offense will, running and passing. The ingrown toenail was a shame, as reports that I've heard said he would have played last night if not for the toenail, which he had surgery on and five stitches(stitches out on Monday-ready for the opener). The O Line has two new starters so the jelling is still going on there as well-no worries here.
gilthorp
I think owning a Carolina player on Offense this year, with the exception of the TE, is a great play. QB/RB/RB/WR/WR--all will be valuable to a team, and I've drafted that way in one league. I'm not saying I drafted all 5 players--but I do have Jake, Foster, and Williams and with Foster/Williams as my #3 RB, I'm pleased. I like to have a panther on my team as a homer, but I never like to double or triple dip a team, but with CAR this year, it's like a buffet of talent. I'm super excited for this year. I'm also happy to see someone lighting a fire under DeShaun, because I think he's been holding us back for way too long.
