Wooters
Ok guys, my draft is today and after extensive research I still have some questions about a few guys. 1) Takeo Spikes- SLB or WLB? Is Angelo Crowell starting at WLB or SLB? 2) Danny Clark. Is he starting? WLB or SLB? 3) Donte Whitner, is he a 3 down SS? 4) Warrick Holdman is he a 3 down WLB? 5) Carlos Emmons is moving from SLB to WLB this year. Anyone have any thoughts on his upside? 6) Diggs is playing WLB for Witherspoon in Car, any thoughts on his upside? Answers to these questions are much appreciated! Woot! First off, use this website for all your depth chart needs. 1. Spikes is set to start on the strong side with Crowell on the weak side. 2. Clark is currently the backup MLB (Kirk Morrison slated to start, with rookie Thomas Howard taking the WLB position. 3. I don't see why Whitner wouldn't be a 3-down player. The Bills' staff does like Matt Bowen, who's currently pegged as the backup, but I believe he's nursing some injuries. 4. I believe so, but the Redskins do have a glut of young and veteran LBs that may get some serious PT. 5. Yes the move from SLB to WLB certainly gives Emmons some upside, but consider Antonio Pierce is in the middle and is a tackling beast. Add in the fact that the Giants' bookend DEs are also adept tacklers. I would say Emmons' upside is moderate; in larger leagues he's probably worth a bench spot. 6. Diggs never really panned out in GB. Doubt a change in scenery will really do much, although the Panther D is far more talented than the Packers. Given MLB Dan Morgan's injury risk and the fact that Witherspoon put up some solid numbers at this spot, Diggs could hold some value, especially in larger leagues with a deep bench. Wooters
Thanks for the response. I know all about Ourlads but they are never updated so I hardly ever use them. Two things. 1) Do you have an updated link that says/shows Crowell being the WLB and Spikes the SLB. 2) According to FBG"s depth chart- Thomas Howard is a 3rd down back on the strong side. Do you have a link to an updated depth chart that shows Howard being a WLB? Thanks a bunch. Anyone else with a response?

I'm not sure how serious - but Diggs got hurt in last nights game - looked to be a knee or an ankle injury - check it out and I agree he was servicable in GB - I don't hold much hope for his upside. I would avoid Clark - Crowell would be a safe #3 LB, I agree Whitner will be a 3 down player. There is a big battle betwee Holdman and Marshall - don't know who is winning the battle. Don't know much about Emmons but I agree that Pierce is the man to get!
Wooters
Battle between Holdman and Marshall? Isn't Marshall was the MLB and Holdman the WLB.

Sorry my bad - the rookie McIntosh is the battle and the last I read McIntosh is winning. Much more all around talent!
Wooters
Rocky McIntosh is trying to vie for WLB spot. He is hurt though. Holdman [i[will[/i] start the season as WLB. I just wanted to make sure he was a 3 down WLB.

Updated: Friday, Aug 25, 2006, 10:45 AM ET according to their depth chart main page ... I've always found it to be one of the best depth chart tools. And in fact, the other depth chart site that I (and a good number of other IDP league vets) use is: http://www.localsports.ca/nfl_rosters/index.html And according to this site... 1. Spikes is listed as the SLB and Crowell the MLB 2. Howard is the starting WLB If anything, it's FBG's site that I would question. Just because it SAYS it's updated, doesn't mean it IS, or is even right to begin with. I hate to link to other boards, but there's some good Raider LB banter here Bottom line, it's still preseason; things are still being worked out.
