September 22, 2006 11:24 AM ET Panthers: Draft to replace Seward as starter The News Panthers linebacker Chris Draft is likely to start on Sunday against the Buccaneers in place of Adam Seward. "Tampa Bay does a lot of movement and shifting," head coach John Fox told the Charlotte Observer. "We just think that right now this gives us our best option." Our View Seward started last week in place of injured middle linebacker Dan Morgan, who has been ruled out of week three due to a concussion. Draft had been playing on the weakside, but starter Na'il Diggs is on pace to start this week after sitting out with his own injuries. SteelBunz
Fox hasn't been enamored with Seward's play thus far either. All info points to Diggs starting this week finally....he takes the WSL and Draft moves to the middle.
TheShiznit
Do you think Morgan can even come back from his 2 millionth concussion?? Is Draft in the middle the story for the rest of the season?? Is Draft worth considering as a bench prospect in case I need a spot start....with upside...or is he just taking up space until Morgan gets back?? Thanks. Draft did well filling in for Morgan. If he does come back I doubt if it will be long before he gets another concusion. They come easier and easier. Seward was good against the run but not the pass. Diggs may not last long either and the rookie Anderson(who they like a lot) may be wlb soon.
