Grits and Shins
In a full dynasty salary cap/auction style league that is for the most part a standard performance scoring league. We start one of the following formations: 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 2 TE, 1 PK, 1 PN 1 QB, 2 RB, 4 WR, 1 TE, 1 PK, 1 PN 1 QB, 1 RB, 5 WR, 1 TE, 1 PK, 1 PN An important thing to consider is that each year player's salaries are recalculated based on a formula that accounts for the previous year's fantasy performance and the previous year's salary. Basically the better a player does the more his salary will increase. Obviously the lower the starting salary the better. The ideal situation is to get a player for cheap the year before he becomes a factor. My team CPalmer / RGrossman / JLosman / BJohnson WParker / FTaylor / TBell / MBell / BJacobs / CBenson SSmith / ABoldin / Roy Williams / THoush / JCotchery / EMoulds / ALelie / TWilliamson RMcMichael / GWrighster NRackers / JScobee CHentrich / CStanley I have an owner that wants Brandon Jacobs + ABoldin or Roy Williams Brandon Jacobs has a current salary of 1.6% of cap SSmith is at 15.8% of cap Boldin is at 11.9% of cap Jacobs will be a VERY reasonably priced starting RB for the Giants next year. So the other owner is offering quantity for quality: TJones 6.8% of cap Reggie Brown .8% of cap and RMoss 10% of cap or two of the following BEdwards 4.3% of cap Reggie Williams .2% of cap Matt Jones 1.6% of cap Am I missing something here? I can't think of why I would do this trade? BJacobs is young (+ in dynasty) and is very reasonably prices (+ in salary cap) and will be starting for the Giants next year (+ in dynasty) TJones is aging (- in dynasty) and will likely cost more than BJacobs next year (- in salary cap) and will likely be backing up for a team next year (- giving starter to get back up) RMoss is a head case playing for a horrible team. I don't believe I would trade either Boldin or Roy Williams for RMoss straight up. Reggie Brown is having a very nice year but his numbers aren't really any better than Crotchery's to this point. BEdwards is a nice young talented WR playing for a team that isn't very good. The Jacksonville WRs have not been much fun to have this year. Tford
Seems pretty cut and dried to me. Click the decline button.
Joe knows Superbowls
I agree, I see no reason why you would want to do this trade. You have a potential stud in Jacobs next year and he will be cheap. I wouldn't deal him away.
