cre8tiff
Amazing doesn't begin to describe the ramifications of this. I can't even imagine trying to program for it. I guess each object onscreen would be some sort of listener, able to be manipulated at any point, even while the others are being maniplulated by the user. This is a total paradigm shift in terms of HCI (Human-Computer Interaction Theory).
Kid Cid
This kind of thing has been lurking on the horizon for a while now. The pointing device, while useful, is an impediment to the advancement of HCI. BTW, you'll notice that most of the work was being done with mapping software. Maps and aerial photography lend themsselves very well to this sort of manipulation. I think that things such as this and advancement in TTS (Text to Speach) and SR (Speech Recognition) are where the next wave of computer stuff is going to come from. AtomicCEO
The iPhone is the first commercial device I've seen that uses multi-touch. I thought it was neat.
