Saw a Pent 4 3.0Ghz w/ 512MB ram w/ Windows XP for around $300. Might be worth looking into. All those comps come w/ warranties as well. Quick search for pcs under $500 A few of them have Media Center for an OS, but there are XP boxes in there as well.
Sox
Find a computer store that builds them where you live.Tell them your specs, and that you want XP installed. About one minute in the yellow pages should do it.

Bill Swerski
Buy a MacBook, buy a copy of XP Pro, download BootCamp, and make a Windows partition on the hard drive. You'll get higher-quality hardware and a higher-quality OS (should you choose to use it).
