muck
If each team is ONLY looking at the offensive side of the ball, here's what they're looking at if I'm the GM (but I don't trade my picks when I'm on the clock): 1 Oakland Raiders Trade Randy Moss to TB for the 36th overall pick which they then send to GB for Aaron Rodgers; Al takes Calvin Johnson, WR. 2 Detroit Lions Joe Thomas, OT; more likely to trade down in the first round than OAK or CLE 3 Cleveland Browns JaMarcus Russell, QB; more likely to trade down than OAK. 4 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Chucky knows he needs to rekindle things before he gets shown the door ... so in what could be his final year in TB, he rolls the dice and trades TBs second round pick for Randy Moss. His first offensive pick is on the offensive line. Most likely of the top six teams to trade up. 5 Arizona Cardinals Their first offensive pick is on the OL. Least likely team in the top five to trade up (unless Joe Thomas slides to #3 or #4). 6 Washington Redskins Ted Ginn, WR 7 Minnesota Vikings Adrian Peterson, RB 8 Houston Texans Brady Quinn, QB 9 Miami Dolphins Offensive line is where they go with the first pick they use on the offensive side of the ball. 10 Atlanta Falcons First offensive pick is used at RB (Petrino's home cooking causes him to take Michael Bush, RB?) 11 San Francisco 49ers WR is their first offensive selection 12 Buffalo Bills Trade McGahee; draft Marshawn Lynch, RB 13 St. Louis Rams First offensive pick is on the offensive line 14 Carolina Panthers Greg Olson, TE ... maybe ... 15 Pittsburgh Steelers First offensive pick is on the offensive line 16 Green Bay Packers Trade Rodgers to OAK for their 2nd round pick; draft a QB with their first offensive pick 17 Jacksonville Jaguars First offensive pick is on the offensive line 18 Cincinnati Bengals First offensive pick is on the offensive line 19 Tennessee Titans First offensive pick is at WR 20 New York Giants First offensive pick is at WR 21 Denver Broncos First offensive pick is on the offensive line 22 Dallas Cowboys First offensive pick is on the offensive line 23 Kansas City Chiefs First offensive pick is on the offensive line 24 New England Patriots (from Seattle) First offensive pick is on the offensive line 25 New York Jets First offensive pick is at WR 26 Philadelphia Eagles First offensive pick is on the offensive line 27 New Orleans Saints First offensive pick is at WR 28 New England Patriots Second offensive pick is at WR or TE 29 Baltimore Ravens Could really go anywhere ... the magic 8-ball says "QB" as I'm guessing they address the RB slot through FA and a mid-round draft pick 30 San Diego Chargers First offensive pick is at WR 31 Chicago Bears First offensive pick is on the offensive line 32 Indianapolis Colts First offensive pick is at WR Edited March 8, 2007 by muck
BeeR
32 Indianapolis Colts First offensive pick is at WR Actually they are thin there, but if Polian pulls another brain fart and does go offense, it better be on the OL, where we're also thin. They can sign somebody like Engram or whatever to replace Stokley. Interesting angle on the draft muck
The Wolf
I can't see AP aliding down as far as #8. With Jamal Lewis on board now, are the Browns more inclined to trade out of that #3 spot? If so, this spot is where he still goes (according to most mocks). Also, fourteen of the thirty-two picks are for offensive linemen...now we know why all this free agent dough is being tossed around on marginal players. Good effort Muck. Like BeeR said, interesting angle.

Interesting angle on the draft muck Not saying they'll use their first pick on a WR, just that the first offensive player they'll take will be a WR... muck
I can't see AP aliding down as far as #8. With Jamal Lewis on board now, are the Browns more inclined to trade out of that #3 spot? If so, this spot is where he still goes (according to most mocks). I said that I wasn't trading out of the picks; every team drafts where they are in the first round. Also, fourteen of the thirty-two picks are for offensive linemen...now we know why all this free agent dough is being tossed around on marginal players. 14 / 32 = 43.75% 5 / 11 = 45.45% So, we have 11 players on offense, five of which are OL. Nothing really out of the ordinary to think that a proportional amount of these picks would be used on OL-men, is it? Good effort Muck. Like BeeR said, interesting angle. Thanks.
