SuperBalla Posted March 17, 2007 Share Posted March 17, 2007 It looks like this year all the 5 seeds beat the 12 seeds in the NCAA men's tourney. Is it that the match-ups that have always had atleast 1 upset? Viginia Tech, Tennessee, USC, and Butler all won. Am I correct or do I have the wrong match-up in mind? I can't remember a year where a 12 didn't beat a 5, until this year. before this year, it was 17 out of the last 18 years that there was an upset between a 5 and a 12. Hat Trick Posted March 18, 2007 Share Posted March 18, 2007 I hate to toot my own horn here, but I can never get the 5-12 matchups right, if I pick a 12 to win the 5 wins, if I pick a 5 to win the 12 wins. So this year in my pools, all but 2 out of 12 I picked all 5's. I also picked in one pool for every #1 seed to make the final four.....that's got to happen eventually right? I saw it as the best 4 teams in the country are the 4 #1 seeds, obviously any day anything can happen, but these 4 seem like the best 4 I can remember.
