chaz13
In our league we keep 3 players minimum and 5 players max. Teams that only keep 3 will participate in the 1st round of drafting, keep 4 you draft in the 2nd rd, and after all teams have 5 players everyone then drafts. There are no maximum years you can keep a player, and no draft penalty for keeping one. It is an 8 team league that starts 20 players per week( 2QB 3RB 4WR 1TE 1K 3DL 3LB 3DB). Rosters consist of 32 players plus up to 2 on IR. Since I was the highest scoring team last year I have many potential keepers to choose from and I will keep 5 players. I will choose 5 from the following: C. Palmer, S. Jackson, L. Maroney, C. Portis, T. Holt, M. Colston, D. Driver, A. Gates, R. Lewis and D. Ryans. I've been able to build a great group of keepers over the years. I've had Holt since his rookie year and the same w/ Portis. I've had Ray Lewis for the last 8 yrs. I'm kind of at a crossroads of getting out w/ the old and in w/ the new. I.E Colston over Holt, Ryans over Lewis. Keep in mind how valuable younger players are since you can keep them indefinitely and lose no draft comp. Right now I am definitely keeping Palmer and S Jax. Who else would you keep? 3 more players. Thanks for the input.
Men In Tights
I am going to assume that Maroney is healthy. It is very tough to pick. Right now I would keep Palmer, SJax, Colston, Gates, and D Ryans. I would also see if you could package players you don't want to keep for an upgrade to a team that might have 1-stud but doesn't have a lot of keeper depth. Maybe something like Holt and Ray Lewis for Chad Johnson or Steve Smith. You have a lot to work with but I would target a team not as deep and trade 2 for 1. chaz13
Those 5 were actually the way I was leaning. Although I am thinking about keeping Portis and having my 3 RB's filled going into the draft. I'm sure I won't be able to get anyone better than Portis if I drop him. WR and LB are easier to come by but Ryans is a stud.
