Big Country Posted July 10, 2007 Share Posted July 10, 2007 I always like the boost assosciated with longer TDs.. it was how my first league was structured (though with too much emphasis on long TDs), and I find it an enjoyable addition to the standard scoring system. I do think you will need to revise your yardage bonuses. I am assuming for example you want to give a 5 point bonus for reaching 300 yards passing and an additional 5 point bonus for reaching 400 yards for a total of a 10 point bonus. If this is so, you will need to change the 400-999 to score 10 points, not 5, as the 300-399 rule would not be added as it would not fall in to the yardage range of 300-399. You may want ot go back to your host site and test the rule, but I am fairly sure it will need to be corrected if my assumption about how you intend to score is correct. fpuma Posted July 10, 2007 Author Share Posted July 10, 2007 Yes thats right. I want a 5 point bonus for 100 and another 5 point bnous for 200 yards. I tested it and did have to change the 200 to 10. I love all the bonuses for yards and tds. I was just rethinking if I should adjust the td bonuses a bit. Maybe instead of making them 2,4,and 6 point bonuses making them 1,2 and 3. Men In Tights Posted July 10, 2007 Share Posted July 10, 2007 You may want to add to the rushing and receiving TD bonus for those over either 59 or 69 yards, which you probably have but don't notice above. I also like having PPR, or points per reception, typically one point. I would also make int's 2-points. I also like having a weighted points against scoting for the defense. Something like: -You could always use negative points for high points against 0-points=6 points1-6 points=4 points7-10=2points20-26=-2 points27-32=-4 points33+=6 points Or something similar to that to put a little more emphasis on defense and reward those owners willing to take a shot at a defense in an early round.
