Pirate lookin' at 40
I play in a 14 team auction league. We can keep 2 players from last year for a $5 increase from what we paid last year. With a $200 cap, my keepers are Steve Smith ($30) and L Maroney ($22). This leaves me with $149 dollars for 13 spots. I have to have at least $1 for each spot, meaning that I can pay up to $137 for Tomlinson. Is this wise?? I figure with 14 teams, the combo of LT-Maroney-Smith would be enough to get into the playoffs even if surrounded by scrubs. Now, he may not cost me $137, but I'd say anywhere from 115 - 120 which wouldn't leave much. I think I may break the bank for LT. Should I, or should I go for someone like McGahee or Ronnie Brown ( the top backs available other than LT) and then load up on WR's? By the way, the owner that had LT could have kept him for $97. Montana is da Man
I'm a huge LT fan, but I don't think you can win your league with a $1 QB and other $1 players. I would go after Ronnie Brown and another stud WR and stud QB . That gives you 5 studs instead of 3.
