eswhite55
So I've been doing a lot of mocks and here is what I'm seeing. The #1 pick this year has a huge advantage. They take LT and then coming back with the consecutive picks in rnds 2 and 3 they grab two of the stud WR's (Johnson, Holt , Harrison, Wayne). Lt is like two players really and paired with two of these guys is going to be tuff to beat every week. I'm sitting at # 8 and am looking at Westbrook with the idea of grabing one of the top 3 WR's coming back. I then hope that Brandon Jacobs or better will be there in rnd 3 and hopefull Andre Johnson or better in rnd 4. I've always preach RB's in the first two rounds but I think this year might be different. What do you guys think?
Big Country
It all depends exactly who is there, but getting a top 2-3 WR when you have a late-middle first/early-middle 2nd round pick and then gambling and hoping to hit on high potetial RBs later on has been a very succesful strategy. SLGRAF
That is a hit or miss strategy; either a quality RB will be available in the 3rd round, and your team will be in very good shape, or, all of the quality RBs will have been taken, and you will be scrambling all season to upgrade at RB. Depends upon who you have in your league. If you have a couple of people who are likely not up to speed on who is started at RB for all of the NFL teams, it is probably a good strategy.
