Savage
Alright 6 player keeper Standard Scoring / Performance however defense gets 3pts a sack and Turnovers Keeping Peyton Manning Tomlinson Boldin Moss SD Defense There are going to be no RB's left with me picking at #9 in a non snake format. I have these Scrubs to choose from Brandon Jacobs, Ahman Green I have to keep 1. thoughts? I know terrible Choice. Having to keep the unpredictable Moss is no good either. Jessman
for me Jacobs is a no brainer!!
Big Country
What's your lineup requirements? Jacobs is easy, but, not so sure I wouldn't be keeping Green over the SD defense.

Yep, if you don't have to keep a D, I would keep both Jacobs and Green. With LT, Manning, and those decent WRs, I wouldn't fret Jacobs as my #2 RB
craiginthecapital
I agree with Big Country here. Jacobs is the easy keeper between those two. Assuming Moss is Randy and not Santana, that works for me too. Why keep a D? Is that pretty common given their value in your scoring? Purple
I'd keep both Jacobs and Green, if possible. I like Jacobs better, but like both more than the SD defense!!
Savage
Thanks, that is the way I was leaning. As for the Defense, they score pretty big in that league. 3 pts per sack and turnovers plus yardage stats can really add up. They were a top 3 D in our league last year. That D got quicker with Cooper and Wilhelm and a couple of ball hawks at the safety position. Picking at #9 in a non snake format I would end up with a scrub D for sure. At that spot my keepers have to strike a balance or I am in a huge hole. Ahman could drop to me or a better choice. Thanks for the advice guys. Big Country
A high scoring position does not neccessarily equate a high value position... particularly in a position as volatile as team defense.

I actually did a study where I checked out how often top 5 Ds repeat. It is alarming how rarely they do. The simple fact is, most FF scoring systems reflect true NFL value very well for Ds. A team could have a very good D but just create a lot of 3 and outs and keep the score low. That's good enough for coaches but not you. FF Ds come out of nowhere. Some returner has an amazing season. Some team just happens to get a bunch of INT TDs, etc. You should never take a D in the first 6 rounds and that is basically what you are doing.
