Vinatieri Is God
Being from the northeast I don't see a lot of Big 12 action, but I can assume A & M is better than that, right? Miami ain't that good.
polksalet
We have a billion dollar endowment, facilities among the best in the country, top tier tradition, sit in the nest of the most fetrile football recruiting grounds on the planet, two time ncaa coach of the year, and we suck. We pay this idiot 2 mill per year and we get nothing. I can't believe how bad we really looked. It will be by the mecy of Bob Stoops if we don't get 125 put on us. I just emailed the ad and asked him to forfeit the game. There is no reason that aTm shouldn't be a top five program. If there is I wish someone would please tell me. It seems we have everything every other top notch school offers and we are (maybe) at the level of McNeese State. Forget that, I'm glad we don't play McNeese this year. A&M "tradition" is probably the most overhyped in the nation. Do not get me wrong they have a great fan base but it is the same fans that hold way to high of a standard for the school. The so called great tradition has netted one national championship...in 1939. I'm going to go out on a limb and say not many recruits were born then. They have a miserable all time bowl record 13-17. They are what they are, and that is a team that will challenge to be in the top 25 every year. Every blue moon when things hit just right they will challenge for a Big XII title. There really is not much wrong with that. They are on par with the likes of Boston College, Michigan State, etc..of teams that are good but not great and play second fiddle to their rivals. I agree but why is that? They are better in every measurable than the teams you mentioned. I guarantee you the school is wealthier, larger, and the facilities are on par with LSU. And you cannot tell me that talent level around La. is better than where aTm resides.

LSU is the only show in town. Nearly the whole state is a Tiger fan. Not a lot of Louisianan's grow up wanting to go to Monroe or Lafayette. Texas A&M is always going to be 2nd best in the state of Texas. UT owns the state. Yes they do have a lot of money. A great stadium, great fan base, and recruit in the best area. That said, you think they should be a top 5 type team and the reality is that compete every year with two of the top 5 programs in the nation (UT and OU). That makes for a tough crowd. I am sitting here watching usf dismantle unc because usf has incredible athleticism. Why can't aTm have simliar athletes to usf?
Haywood JaDouche
I am sitting here watching usf dismantle unc because usf has incredible athleticism. Why can't aTm have simliar athletes to usf? There's absolutely no reason for it. Fran has got to go. The coaching is bad and the talent is subpar for a school like A&M. It falls on his shoulders. There is absolutely no reason why A&M shouldn't consistently compete with OU and UT. I think more times than not OU and UT win, but they should be close. This is a complete disgrace to an already shady conference.

Why can't aTm have simliar athletes to usf? USF runs a real Off. aTm is still in their glory days, trying to use a high school off. in D1 football. A&M needs to go after Leach, he can and would bring respect back to College Station.....

myhousekey
Good thing Baylor is terrible. They couldn't catch a ball if they had hands dipped in glue. I don't think we would have beaten an average team today. Nice to see some downfield passing for a change though......
