Scare Tactics
Ok, I live in NY and my dad lives in NC. To make things short, he is old and not too handy on a computer.. He is constantly telling me he is having problems and so on doing things. So i would like to take a look on his computer and see what i can do. I know there is a way that i can access his desktop from my computer, but i dont know what i need to do. I had thought it was something in control panel, and then the ip addresses or something but i cant figure it out. So can some 1 please tell me what i need to do, and what he needs to do on his computer for me to be able to access his desktop and help him.. thanks

He's 65, retired and moved to NC from NY.. His computer is old, its like a 900mhz pentium III or something, i forget. Anyway all the guy does is email surf the web slightly, and play games on Pogo like poker n bowling n Sega!. Other than that he has no clue what to do with a computer. He says his comp is slow, he says it hangs up on him during games all the time. He also says he keeps getting things popping up saying there are errors or something on his computer, he constantly tells me about things popping up, and that things r running slow. I had him do a simple thing like disk cleanup, and the computer took like 4-5 minutes to accomplish that, ive never seen it take more than like 30 seconds.
