THE NEWS

Matt Leinart suffered a fractured left collarbone during the Cardinals' week five win over the Rams, according to CBS. He will be sidelined six-to-eight weeks.

Our View

At least this clears up the Cardinals' quarterback-by-committee, as Kurt Warner has played well when on in relief of Leinart.

So now that the QBBC is temporarily dismantled, what are folk's thoughts on Warner? Clearly, the guy can still read a defense and get the ball to the appropriate set of hands when given time. The Cards have moved the ball considerably better with Warner in than with ML. So do you feel he will be able to continue to play at a high level now that he is not the guy off the bench and defenses will be planning for him? Better yet, does he stay upright long enough to make him worth acquiring? Home this week vs Carolina and then on the road at Wash where the Skins just harassed Kitna into a vommit-inducing performance. Overall, though, not a bad schedule for the Cards the rest of the way.

Thoughts?
