People shake their heads when I tell them it works... but I swear it does. Me: Hello, my bill is up around $150, and it doesn't compare very well with the deal DirecTV is offering right now. I was wondering if there were any promotions or discounts you could give me. Comcast: Well, we can give you $12 off your internet for the next 6 months. Me: Well, sign me up for that... but can you do anything else? DirecTV is offering HD/DVR with free installation for $60/month... and when I add high-speed internet to that, it's still $30 cheaper than what you're offering. Comcast: I guess we can give you the premium package for free for the next 3 months... again. That's a $35/mo savings. Me: Ok, sounds good. Thank you. Yes, your cable bill IS negotiable... easily. I work for Comcast and I know for a fact that the CSR that you talk to when you call has the power to do whatever they have to do to keep you from canceling your service. It all depends on who you end up calling. as much as I think Comcast is the debil.... I hate DTV more...mostly because I can't get my local sports games with them...(sixers, phillies, flyers) even games on local stations or ESPN and not on Comcast Sportsnet get blacked out Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You 'da man!! Just called and she re-packaged my service into a 12 month promotion they are running. Package includes all the movie channels and NFL Network for $35 less than I'm paying right now for just HBO. I have to remember to call in 11 months, before the promotion expires and ask them to extend it. Putting a note on my bulletin board right now!!
