While I don't have the typing stamina for a review or anything...I'd like to note that this movie is at the very worst worth a rental..

great cast, storyline and classic ending...

so don't hesitate to buy it... :D

anyone else seen this movie?...

If you are talking about this one http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0050086/ then I have seen it dozens of times including when it first came out. Not a bad flick at all.

:D I knew someone would say that...

I mean the one with Christain Bale and Russell Crowe....I just scooped up the Blu-ray :D

 I knew which one you meant... but couldn't resist....especially since the first one was pretty good. Haven't seen the remake.

I thought it was really good for the first half.

So-so for the third quarter.

And just plain bad for the fourth quarter where I feel the movie fell apart completely and nothing made sense.

+1

certainly worth the rental for Bale, Crowe and Fonda- I guess I expected more......

great cast, cool story and setting that slowly went downhill as it went along, I thought they could have made a much better flick.

I liked the story concept a bunch. Thought the acting was solid. Agree it wasn't as 'clean' at the end as it was at the beginning, but I still liked the end, too.

B+

...when it gets right down to it, it's the sort of movie I'll want my kids to watch someday and for us to have a conversation about the ethical choices presented to the characters...
