McBoog
If they do this, then they need to kill the Divisions and make it one big conference. Schedules would have to be randomly generated on a yearly basis. In turn, this kills the Historical excitement of rivalry games. It is an idea with merit, but the owners and most fans would not go along with it. The one change I could see would be to allow for second round and Championship games get seeded based on record. For example, had Jax beaten the Patriots and the Chargers had beaten the Titans, then I think it would have been valid to say the Jags deserved to host the game between these two teams. I see nothing wrong with re-seeding the teams AFTER each play-off round. But the first round should be as it always has or Division games will mean nothing. This would also make teams try to win every game rather than coast into the play-offs once clinched (with probably a few exceptions). piratesownninjas
It will never happen, as the owners would never approve it. It's just Goodell trying to hard to build a legacy for him to leave.
