piratesownninjas
Some of Drew Rosenhaus clients… Marion Barber- Demanding LT type money after his first big year. Chad Johnson- Demanding a trade out of Cincinatti… threatens to retire. Jeremy Shockey-Demanding a trade out of New York, threatens to sit out if his demands are not granted. Anquan Boldin-Demanding trade or a new contract… Is Drew Rosenhaus possibly getting closer to Scott Boras level? Many teams in the MLB try to avoid players that are Boras clients, and with the four biggest malcontent’s all being his clients , it seems to becoming somewhat likely if this continues... He's responsible for the massive Terrell Owens meltdown a few years ago, and seems primed for 2-3 more this year alone... Thoughts?
AtomicCEO
It's a free market economy. Anecdotally, it seems like players who hold out in the rookie season never achieve greatness in the NFL, and also anecdotally, it seems like players who have bad attitudes don't play on championship teams. I think that really limits the success of these strategies. It seems like if a player holds out, they hurt themselves... and that's not just peace and love hippie talk. It's rooted in fact. Randall
Maybe Drew Rosenhaus will threaten to sit out or retire.
Bronco Billy
Let's not overlook Terrell Owens' myriad of fiascos, and the way Rosenhaus played both his clients against the Packers (Grady Jackson & Javon Walker) when GB had a limited amount of resources against the cap and couldn't possibly meet the demands of both at the same time (can anyone say conflict of interest & lack of ethical behavior?)
