budlitebrad
From Rotoworld: NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports the Patriots have signed RB LaMont Jordan, a day after he was released by the Raiders. Jordan also considered New Orleans, but the Pats swooped in on another cheap, serviceable vet. This may say as much about the club's confidence in Sammy Morris' health as it does about Laurence Maroney. However, it's been clear for some time that Maroney's usage patterns were simply not reliable enough for fantasy leaguers, and Jordan's signing adds further concern. Maroney will remain the starter, but Jordan could play a significant enough role to hamper Maroney's consistency and overall production. Bump Maroney down. I don't think I'll be drafting any Pats RBs at this point.
dirtdickens
I hate dealing with the Pats, Bellicheat is capable of changing the offense from last year just because teams will be gearing up to stop them the way the Giants did. It is almost like he says yeah we set some big records throwing the ball, but lets switch to a power run game just because we can. Maroney and Jordan have been added to the hands off list this year. Avernus
It seems pretty clear that NE doesn't have a great deal of confidence in Maroney. Doesn't that mean that Jordan will get a shot at being the starter? RBBC...but I think Jordan can be a monster in that passing game... ROYALWITCHEESE
LOL hold your horses guys. This is the same Jordan who couldn't get on the field the last two years and is 30 years old right? If he hurts anyone, it's Morris, who everyone seems to forget is coming off a serious chest injury. I'll bet one of them doesn't make the roster... BigTen
Who knows about the RB position in NE. If Brady would stop throwing the ball so d@mn much then we might know what kind of potential they have at RB.

ROYALWITCHEESE
2 words... Oakland Raiders.. What does that have to do with injuries (his ailing back and knee)? My point is, the Pats aren't keeping 5 running backs. Jordan or Morris will be cut...
JoJoTheWebToedBoy
RBBC...but I think Jordan can be a monster in that passing game... +1 He is a receiving tthreat out of the backfield.... I would think Sammy Morris should be worried.....
