Bizarro
Hey Guys, Torn here. Cutler vs SD or Warner vs MIami ? I really like Cutler this year overall, BUT it's Warner vs Miami. Could be like shooting fish in a barrell! (pun intended) Any thoughts appreciated.
51Butkus
You'll see I have the same dilemma. My thoughts are that Warner is better at home than on the road, and has a bunch of 3TD games at home in a row. Miami gave up two TD's passing last week. I am loving Cutler, hoping he's the REAL DEAL, and I am interested to see how he does this week vs. SD, who have a tough pass D. If he shines this week, then I think I move him past Warner, although I drafted them both in the 5 & 6th rounds with the idea of playing the best matchup. I'll be interested to see what everybody else chimes in with here, but I'm inclined to go Warner this week, unless persuaded otherwise. Photobiz2
I agree with Warner having a much better matchup...but I'd keep an eye on the injury report. I read somewhere that Cromartie might not play, who would have lined up against the returning Brandon Marshall. With Cromartie hobbled and Merriam out for the season, the SD defense might not be all that great.
jfrankparnell
The one question - will Arizona just run the ball down Miami's throat? Warner won't need to throw Without Merriman, the SD defense doesn't look great - got no pressure on Delhomme last week. Cutler gets Marshall back to pair with Royal. If LT runs wild vs the Broncos D, Cutler might need to pass all day Flip side - it's a rivalry game. I'd lean towards Cutler, but you're not going to go wrong either way
Bizarro
That's my concern as well. Will Arz run more than pass, as they did last week. That game vs SF was suppose to be big for Warner as well and Cutler vs Oak not so much. We know how that ended up. I'll have to keep an eye on that Cromartie injury. That's a good point. femmefootball
With Marshall coming back I'd think Denver's gonna throw the ball like crazy so I'd give the edge to Cutler, personally
51Butkus
Whisenhunt did come from the Pittsburgh school, so maybe he's trying to get back to a run first mentality, and he's got it appears a decent 1-2 punch in Edge and Hightower. If they are inclined to run it more, that hurts Warner. Like alot of posters have said around here, give it a couple weeks to develop some track history. ljbrun
Well, you certainly have a "good" problem and as someone else said, you can't go wrong either way. I would tend to lean away from the team playing against the better D & SD, even w/o Shawn is the better D. I'd probably lean toward Warner. Bizarro
Ended up going with JC. He looked good again. I think it's time to dangle Warner out there before he get's dinged up and faces better defenses.
