Shorttynaz Posted October 6, 2008 Share Posted October 6, 2008 Brian Westbrook - RB - Philadelphia Eagles Posted 10/6/08 4:18pm et Coach Andy Reid said Monday that Westbrook, who was back in the lineup after sitting out last week against Chicago with an ankle injury, broke two ribs on the eighth play of the Eagles' 23-17 loss to the Washington Redskins on Sunday. "He is very sore," Reid said. Despite the injury, Westbrook carried the ball 12 times for 33 yards and caught six passes for 51 yards in the game. Reid would not speculate about Westbrook's availability for the Eagles' game at San Francisco this weekend. "We'll see how it works out for him," Reid said. The Huddle's Take: It doesn't look good, obviously, for Westbrook to play this week but things could change during the week. For now at least, assume Westbrook won't be available. Hopefully, if you have him on your roster you picked up Correl Buckhalter for insurance. Good thing I snatched up Buckhalter a few weeks ago.
