stokers
I'm thinking of proposing Gore for Portis straight up. Who's the better play for the rest of the season?

Dont Rookie Me........
Gore SEA BYE @ARI STL @DAL @BUF NYJ @MIA @STL Portis @DET PIT BYE DAL @SEA NYG @BAL @CIN PHI I think Gores schedule makes this gore slightly better plus the fact that S ALex can spell Portis more then Foster spells Gore. Then the final factor is injuries where I think Gore is more durable so I would stay I think but so close. Edited October 22, 2008 by Dont Rookie Me........ stokers
Dont Rookie Me........ thanks for the great breakdown. That's why this has been a tough decision to make with the exact reasons you listed. I almost took the trade last week and actually would have won my game since Portis put up more points. If I don't make the trade, I have Graham and Lynch as my two starting RB's next week. That's strong reason why I am thinking about doing it. isleseeya
tough call ...but i think Gore has a much better playoff schedule than Portis I have Gore now and i do not believe i would trade him for Portis
SLGRAF
I think Portis is perceived as being more valuable than Gore at this point, so I doubt the Portis owner will trade you for Gore straight up. After all, S.F is going through a coaching change, which could affect the production of their players. And, Washington is a better team than S.F, and when it comes to RBs, it is better to be on a team that plays from the lead alot than one that plays from behind. In terms of pure talent, Gore may not have a peer in the NFL. But, his situation is less than ideal.
