Dutch Oven Posted November 17, 2008 Share Posted November 17, 2008 True, but, there are loopholes. When you go to a D3 school as an athlete, they will find ways to get you financial aid. At least, that is how it used to be 10 years ago. Same here. At the school I went to, they called them "Leadership Scholarships," and almost every athlete had one. If he is looking at a D III school, be sure to check into that. Good thing about them is if you decide not to play or get hurt, you still have the scholarship. Congrats on a great year.
