Probably the monitor. IIRC, there are ways to boot the computer in a simpler video mode. I don;t work on PCs, but I believe there is often an option at startup to choose between the full OS and a VGA only version. YOu might also be able to tell by starting in "safe mode". H8tank Posted January 24, 2009 Share Posted January 24, 2009 That happens often when the cable is loose. Turn off both, remove the data cable, re-attach and make sure it is snug. If it still does it, jiggle the connecting ends while it is on and see if the picture changes. Could be on PC end or monitor end. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
