nogohawk
For Christmas, My caterer and his staff gave me a gift certificate to a nice restaurant in the area and the owner threw in the use of his limo and driver. He's paying the driver, I was wondering what sort of tip I should give him? We're using it tonight to celebrate my b-day and we should probably have the limo for about 6 hours. TIA

rocknrobn26
Probably around $50. Sounds right. When I take a limo to the airport, for a ~$60 tab, 50 minute ride, I'll tip $10.
T_bone65
Probably around $50. I would say 50-100 since you aren't paying the driver, I know the owner did but still

TIA Your caterer has a limo and driver? I've gone on b-day party limo rides and it was asked that each person thrown in $20 for the tip. Thats a nice little tip for the driver if you have a party of 5 or more.
DMD
$50 is pretty standard but it is a gift to you and you are out nothing so at least that much. If you can swing by here and pick me up I will split the cost with you.
