AtomicCEO
I have had a few experiences with doctors that make me think that a lot of them are very very overpaid. Edited April 22, 2009 by AtomicCEO

AtomicCEO
As someone on the inside, I was actually wondering if you might agree with me.
bpwallace49
Isnt that the point though? If the medical profession promoted more prevention instead of medication, then a lot of the R & D and the massive pharmecutical companies would lay off tons of workers. It is easier (and makes them a lot more money) to keep prescribing meds and having people coming in the door. Them again, if we didnt live in a society that first looks to blame others and sue (forcing docs to pay tens of thousands of dollars every year in malpractice insurance) maybe the system wouldnt be so skewed. Who knows what the solution is? (check that, I am sure TimC knows . . .) http://www.nber.org/aginghealth/2008no3/w14257.html
