Skilly
I'm moving next month, and was going to start up the Comcast triple play (HD cable tv / internet / phone). It's a good price right now, and I heard that the internet is blazing fast. My question is: does the cable tv and internet both come through the same cable? Do they just use a splitter when the line comes into your house, with one going to the tv and the other to the computer?
Czarina
We would have it but for the fact that their phone service isn't available in my area.
AtomicCEO
Yes. It all feeds off the phone cable. I had it, but I canceled the phone. Phones are dumb.
rocknrobn26
I've had it for about 2 years now. (The Cable & BB for many more) There were some growing pains in the beginning but it's fairly stable now. The Phone service will give a slight echo once in awhile, but no drops. Understand, regardless of what the sales people tell you, when the cable goes down, so goes your phone. When it comes back, the phone comes back last, TV and BB are first. All you need for hookup is a phone jack near your cable modem and that back feeds the line thru the house. Oh, and if you have it in your area, the caller ID feature on the TV and PC is really cool. Good luck.
Skippy
Pretty much exactly what RR said for me. I, however, do not see any real difference between DSL and Cable when it comes to the internet.
