If they want your business, they'll negotiate. If they won't, go somewhere else.
alexgaddis
They even go so far as to price the vehicle out at $12,992 so as to appear its mathematically calculated to the dollar...

Why do you think that is? I tried to give you a little hint above.

I totally agree, you can't come up with an exact dollar amount on a used car like that, too many variables...
H8tank
I totally agree, you can't come up with an exact dollar amount on a used car like that, Yes you can. They know to the cent what they have in that car, and since no 2 used cars are identical, then each and every one is worth a different amount. Dbaxx
Everything is negotiable...If you have shopped that particular vehicle, sometimes you will see that it is a good price...? I know we used to use a "Bucket" system to arrive to the weird prices. Example, when we get a brand new vehicle on the lot: $15991 1st 30 days (Bucket 1) More profit...ends in "1" so we know it's a fresh unit and bigger margin $14882 31-45 days (Bucket 2) Starting to get old....mark it down. $14553 45-60 days (Bucket 3) Getting ready to unload $13994 60 plus day (Bucket 4...fire sale.)
