BeeR
Who do you think/hope you can get who should well out-perform their cost? Offhand I'm guessing: QB Hass Palmer RB Slaton (? maybe, he isn't cheap) K Smith Benson (I can't believe I'm saying that) WR Avery D Jackson TE Olsen
BeeR
So no value plays this year. Got it.

Hasselbeck is a little bit more of a value. No chance on Slaton. Not at all a value, and probably going to cost you more than he's worth. Smith and Benson I can see. Olsen's Auction value skyrockets with Jay Cutler in town. From what I've seen, Tom Brady is going well under what he's worth, as is Frank Gore, Ronnie Brown, Randy Moss, and Anquan Bolden

BeeR
Palmer will not be a value buy, but be close to what he should be. Hasselbeck is a little bit more of a value. Palmer may very easily be value buy I think as most will go for someone else as their starter and backup QBs won't be messed with until money is getting really thin. Hass actually I'm less sure of as he has more ? marks IMO. No chance on Slaton. Not at all a value, and probably going to cost you more than he's worth. See Palmer. ie I can see this guy as a viable RB1 (tho I'd then go for strong RB2) and for well less than most of the others. Olsen's Auction value skyrockets with Jay Cutler in town.yeah in hindsight I take this one back. If anything he may be overpriced in the end. From what I've seen, Tom Brady is going well under what he's worth, as is Frank Gore, Ronnie Brown, Randy Moss, and Anquan Bolden ? I would think Brady and Moss would be among the top 2 picks at their positions and so hardly a value move. Gore I also will cost about what he's worth. Boldin, maybe... Square
I don't have any auctions (I know, make fun of me because I play with noobs) but undervalued is undervalued so here is my 2 cents. Slaton is a good player that I was hoping to be undervalued going into this year. Houston's offense is good and their playoff schedule for week 15 (@STL) & 16(@MIA) isn't too bad (well at least the week 15 game looks like he should do solid). But, Slaton is pretty highly ranked. My main local team (CBS projections) is a .5ppr and they have Slaton listed as the #5 RB. That's too high for my blood. I'd love the guy as a RB2 with upside but the price will probably be too high. I do like K. Smith and think he can have a better year than last year 976yards and 8TDs isn't bad for the Lions last year. I'm a little bullish on them this year and think he could have a solid year. If I could get him as a RB2 for the price of a RB3 it'd be good value imo. Olsen was another I was hoping would be undervalued but it looks like it isn't so. He seems to be the 5th TE taken after Clark, Witten, Gates, & Gonzo go off the board. Still, depending on how I feel about my first few picks it might be worth the price. Cutler likes his TEs and the other WRs on the Bears don't look too scary so Greg could get the ball often enough to make the price right. So he may be valued correctly but it takes a bit of a leap of faith with a brand new QB in town. I can't type Benson's name without feeling a little dirty. Schaub (if he can finally stay healthy) could be great value but I haven't seen where he is going. The health issue always scares people. I'm optimistic on Bowe this year and will be targeting him in a few drafts. Upgrade at QB and HC so I don't see how he could drop down. Bowe was very consistent last year, it was just either big yardage or TDs. Rarely did he get both. I heard he came in over weight, but I think he could be a good value. BeeR
Maybe Slaton is higher than I realized Sounds like Olsen and maybe even K Smith will be too, by next month. Ditto Bowe. Shaub won't be on my team because I avoid injury risks big time.

Houston has a ton of hype going for them already. Slaton blew up last year and is a young back with no one really there behind him to cut into any meaningful amount of carries. I've seen the guy go around the 6th highest RB or so in a few auctions. The Slaton hype machine is in effect. As far as Brady goes, I've seen him around the 4th QB in terms of cap points spent. I dont know why, but he has. I still think that he is 1a or 1b next to Brees.

Are you saying that's too high or too low? I just keep thinking of Palmer coming back from that injury with a ton less time than Brady had, and Palmer doesn't have the "heart" that Brady seems to, IMO. They really haven't added much in the way of RB and I see nothing to indicate they'll quit chucking it around.
BeeR
He's saying too low. And I agree it's him or Brees, then the rest. I'm really not seeing a lot of value plays at QB this year, unless people wait a long time to throw them out (which I have seen happen). theprofessor
QUOTE (Sgt Ryan @ 7/14/08 10:56am) Aaron Rogers reminds me of Kyle Boller. Dude has skills, but has no idea how to play the position, and Brohm or someone else will be the next successful Qb in GB, not Aaron F'n Rogers. Sorry, but I can't stop laughing at this guy ..... freakin' hilarious Hasselbeck Bowe Palmer Ro. Williams M. Bush
