State of the Jaguars

 

Could the passing game in JAX look any worse? Torry Holt who appears to be done and maybe Mike Walker who never plays because of injury. What could they expect with this cast?

 

Can MJD deliver like the #1 or #2 RB that he is being drafted as this summer?

I'm picked Holt in almost every league this year. Gotta lot running on one of my favorite players.

I'll probably take a couple chances on Holt this year if he comes pretty cheap which he should. Then that wouldn't be too much of a chance though would it? I agree with Opie in that the line will be superior to last year. One choice that wasn't given for Holt has to do with Garrard. Garrard gets happy feet IMO and he likes to take off running tto often. Of course, the poor line had alot to do with that. I don't think Holt is necessarily a dog that doesn't hunt anymore. I'm just not sold on Garrard as the starting QB.

I'm worried that the Jags will give Jones the rock at the goal line. MJD has shown that he has a nose for the endzone, so why change? Because Del Rio is an offensive weetodd that's why. This is one thing I'm really going to keep an eye on in preseason. Of course, I live in Jax so I may not be able to see the home preseason games.

I like Garrard and MJD but I want no part of any Jags WR beyond taking a chance at depth.

 

The Jags had one of those seasons last year where they underachieved after overachieving the previous season. In 2008, they were one of those teams that just got hammered by OL injuries. I seem to remember one of their OL starters even got shot, like with a gun, during training camp. 2008 was just a bad season that an otherwise decent team can have.
