3xcrazy
John Clayton, of ESPN.com, reports the Minnesota Vikings might try using some four-receiver sets this season, in part due to the improvement WR Sidney Rice has shown in practice. Our view: With Percy Harvin being the type of player that demands the football, it's not surprising Brad Childress would spread the field with multiple receiver sets. Spreading defenders out will only help a guy like Harvin, who is an incredible runner with the football in his hands.

gbpfan1231
This would be one of Childress' better ideas. I guess the more WR on the field it would mean that the ball thrown by Tarvaris would be closer to actually hitting one of them???
irish
The Vikings have 4 NFL quality WRs on their roster?!? Hold on, let me think for a minute and see if I can come up with more than 2 WRs that I might know on that team... Scooby's Hubby
How often are they going to be in this formation compared to all others? They need to be preparing a QB for the plays they will be running the majority of the time, like some play action to Shancoe. I would think a coach wants to get some timing plays with Rice or Berrian instead of all this deep passing formations. Act like your running and throw. AP in a 4 WR? C'mon coach, practice the stuff they will be running most of the game. Work that TE on some running formations, that's how you use AP. BeeR
as odd as it is, they've lined AP at slot. they wanna get him more involved in the pass game. Tragically, he's one of their best WRs (by default).
