Furd
I'm remember ol' Monte sneaking a smoke on the sideline every now and then. He joins that elite fraternity of Lions coaches in the sky.
BeeR
He had more coaching lives than a cat. But sad how those days look golden compared to the Lions since, mostly.
Chavez
He had more coaching lives than a cat. But sad how those days look golden compared to the Lions since, mostly. Lions fans are pining for those days of yore when Wayne Fontes roamed the sidelines. Which was odd, because he didn't really coach, he just kinda wandered around - "hmmm, hand it to Barry and if that doesn't work Spielman and Blades will stop 'em." Sad to hear for Monte, Fontes wasn't a great coach but he knew talent.
