keggerz
Earlier this year I purchased Adobe Lightroom 2.0 to utilize for editing my photographs and my laptop only had 1GB of ram so I upped it to 4GB(i know that all 4GB doesnt get used, running XPhome)...anyway that really helped to keep that program from dragging and along with killing some stuff that would try to startup with the LT everything was flying....well last week I started using ADOBE Contribute and it really drags when I use it....when I use Lightroom it is the only program I am running but when I use Contribute I have FF running with around 8-10 tabs open because I have to reference stats and such for the article I am writing in Contribute..... any ideas what could be making it drag or what I can do to speed it up? edit: i guess I should say that I am running my LT via a wireless network and I do have to connect to a server to do my work Edited September 23, 2009 by keggerz

I'd say that is probably the main culprit. What kind of processor do you have? What kind of connection to the server?

What kind of connection to the server? hmmm, i have been connecting to edit because that is what it says to do...and now i just tried doing the editing without connecting and just saving it and will publish later and that seems to have stopped the lag. thanks edit: Got this from the System Properties Dell Vostro 1500 Intel Core2 Duo CPU T5370 @ 1.40 GHz 1.40 GHz, 3.75 GB of RAM and the Video Card is a NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS Edited September 23, 2009 by keggerz

I would think that is the only other way you could see a difference in performance is a faster clock speed. I seriously doubt your video card is a bottleneck of any sort. As long as it gets the job done!
