Randall
They travel well Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers is a sellout, not because fans want to show support for the first-year coach Steve Spagnuolo in what is shaping up as a season of rebuilding, and not because St. Louis is immune to the recession. The real reason: Packers fans travel exceedingly well. “They have a great tradition, they’ve had a great couple of years, and we haven’t,” quarterback Marc Bulger said. “So, we’ll see what happens.” The Rams (0-2) already have a good idea what is likely. The last time the Packers (1-1) came to town at the end of the 2007 season, the Edward Jones Dome had close to a 50-50 mix of St. Louis and Green Bay fans, and Cheeseheads filled the downtown streets in the hours before kickoff. When Brett Favre set an N.F.L. record for career yards passing in a Packers 33-14 victory that clinched a playoff berth, camera flashes came from every corner of the stadium, accompanied by thunderous cheers.... griff321
The start of the article really threw me off, like "oh god another Midwestern sports writer who went overboard at the all you can eat buffet and can't be bothered to type" but it really picks up towards the end. I've always said that St. Lois should be in the Norris. Maybe they can make the change when the L.A. Jaguars join the West in a few years Hey at least it's a dome so you guys can leave the blaze orange in the closet.
budlitebrad
But will they travel as well when the Rams move to London?
