Big Country
What is your scoring system? What are your thoughts on the situations? What is causing you trouble in deciding?
mhndrx
What is your scoring system? What are your thoughts on the situations? What is causing you trouble in deciding? scoring is same for WR and TE, point for a rec, point for every 10 yrds, and 6 points for a TD. i really am stumped on the TE, it seems like every week i pick one and the other does way better. i just dont understand the TE matchups or something?? i really dont know what one i would play, it would just be a "this guy sounds good" guess. for WR i was thinking about going with Steve Smith and Wes Welker, welker gets a lot of targets each game and brady is getting the yards, and they play TB. the decision in my mind i guess is between fitzgerald and smith. everything i read says play fitzgerald bc boldin is probable and he will get more targets bc of that, but earlier in the year i think that hurt fitzgerald, plus they play NYG. and smith hasnt been getting as many looks as he was before bc of nicks, but ARI pass defense isnt ranked very well i believe. so i guess i was thinking steve smith, but should i listen to what everyone (sports columnist) is saying and play fitzgerald or go with smith? mhndrx
oooh and i have eli manning starting, so an eli to smith rec would get my points rolling, but it just worries me with all the recievers in NY and the lack of recievers in ARI. Good stuff. At Wr, I would lean Fitzgerald and Welker. You know they are going to get their targets, and in a PPR, that is hugh. With Smith, he may get the targets, he may not, Eli is just spreading the ball around so much you just never know on a week to week basis what WR will be the beneficiary. At TE, this really is a tossup. Both are playing solid against solid defenses against TEs, but both are getting their looks. In a case like this, I like to look at which offense I think will do better overall, as that makes it all the more likely my guy will get a piece of a bigger pie, giving him more opportunity to make something of it, and in this case, I think that will be Celek. Spartans91
As hard as it would be to sit Steve Smith against the suspect AZ pass defense, I think you have to start Welker and Fitz. Regarding the TE, Celek is the more consistent option but Winslow could get serious garbage time stats in London. I'd start Winslow.
