delusions of grandeur
Man, I know you were hoping for another well-thought out post like the other one, but I don't know if I have one here. I don't really have any better idea about the future of Chris Johnson (or the Titans as a whole) than you do. Although I do like Austin alot, and do not see Roy turning things around there, that's not as big of a worry to me. I still prefer the options you have right now. You have a fill-in pretty much everywhere, and I think Moreno will end up being the man in Denver and be your solid RB2 by next year. Then by that point, you can use Forte in the flex, or the WR with the hot hand. If you feel good about CJ though, then ya, I think you're right that you'd be fine with Austin (or whoever) filling in at flex.

I should have clarified more boldly that Moreno is not a keeper player. He goes back in the draft next year. I am renting him for this year only. Perhaps that changes your position slightly. delusions of grandeur
Alright, I'm with ya on this one. Since you were obviously appreciative and have done your homework (and because I'm bored), I went ahead and took a quick look at both of their schedules. I do like Johnson's schedule pretty well going forward. There will be some weeks where he could be a relative bust, but some pretty nice matchups too, and much better schedule for the playoffs. As for his play, he's definitely got the talent for sure,(more than Forte), as long as they'll give him opportunities.. But like you said, the opportunities are the concern, as they're often down some scores due to bad QB and defensive play, and that doesn't appear to be changing anytime soon there. But the upside in him and Austin is enormous, as both could end up being your stud starters for years to come. I confess that I haven't done keeper leagues, but want to. It seems like the way to go, as long as you got a serious crew who are down to do it right. Yes, that certainly changes things if you can't keep Moreno (which you clarified fine. I just forgot). Good luck dude! I'd still mow it over, but at least this trade won't cost you your team!
nhoops
I could see how both options would be beneficial (staying put or making the deal) Austin as a Flex is a nice situation to be in and I do like the upside more with Johnson. Both he and Forte have been struggling this year. But Johnson has gotten the yards and gives you the home run shot. I'd lean towards doing it, especially since you lose Moreno at the end of the year. Good Luck, check out mine if you get a chance.
