rajncajn
In a large column of data what is the easiest & quickest way to identify duplicate entries? I don't want to delete them because I have to research them to make sure they are not just typos before deleting them. Edit: NM, just found it. That was a lot easier than I thought. CaP'N GRuNGe
So how did you do it? I did the same thing yesterday but I probably took a couple of more steps than i needed to.

On older versions of Excel it's a bit more complicated & is explained here. On the 2007 or newer version you just go to the home tab, high-lite the column, click the Conditional Formatting button> Highlight Cell Rules> Duplicate Values... At work I use 2003 and I've always done a countif formula. SOmething like: =countif(A2:A2000,A2>1,"Dup","Not") or something like that.
