Perhaps that wasn't what you personally thought (and I wasn't trying to say that you did think so), but the statement "Nobody thought..." (not nitpicking on the obvious of "Of course somebody thought it") is demonstrably not true. It was a major subject amongst right wingers trying to keep Obama out of office.
