You sure get worked up and defensive quite easily.

I remember a fair amount of criticism for Cheney, Rove, Condi, and lower level guys like Brownie also. Not only on these boards, but in general. Quite a bit.

How am I being defensive? I saw what I thought was a fairly ridiculous statement, and I called the guy out on it. You asked a simple question, to which I gave a simple answer.

Maybe you don't remember things with the same clarity that I do. Since the beginning of the century I witnessed a never ending barrage on Bush's War, and on how Bush lied, etc. But now when your guy gets criticized it's personal. Please! Nobody is asking for any extra level of accountability from Obama that isn't asked of every sitting President. Sorry if that hurts your feelings.

Did you watch the clip? C'mon . . . it is hilarious . . .

Did watch it and barely cracked a smile. Not a fan of Stewart at all - fail to see any humor in his schtick.

So let me get this straight - again just because people in the PAST have blamed the past it is ok to continue on? Like I said before I was not into politics at all when that was happening and it is crap. It still should not give Obama and his ADMINISTRATION a pass to keep passing blame.

Obama knew what he was getting into and campaigned on fixing it and he is failing miserably. There are a lot of people who admit Bush sucked - I don't get what Obama has where he can piss me off so bad but yet you and most lefties still think he is the savior. Just weird.

Failing miserably on what metrics? Looked upon as savior by who? Baseless bravado doesn't make anyone here take you more seriously. It makes you sound like tosberg's brother repeating slightly more advanced talking points.

Obama's favorability poll ratings have been consistently split down the middle for about a 1/2 year now, indicating America voters are genuinely split about the take on his performance thus far. It's not like his approval ratings are down to 20% like the guy you are making comparisons to.

If I were you I would keep your posts to your usual one liners (what you and BP and evil_gop_liars call "advanced" thinking). Every time you try to post something longer you end up looking more foolish than you already are.

So let's see here. You will honestly say that you are getting what you expected when you voted for this guy?

You like the politics he used to get health care passed?

You think he has done a good job at stimulating our economy?

You think he has stopped earmarks in bills where he said those things would change?

You think he has done a good job with the oil spill? I am not saying he could have prevented it but he needs to lead and he has not.

What do you think he has done that deserves a "atta boy"?

I am looking for someone to help me give Obama the benefit of the doubt. I will admit I am a right leaning person and do tend to listen/watch that type of news so my information can be one sided.

I am trying to be open and have someone explain to me why he is doing a good job.

What I'm saying is there has been plenty of intelligent discourse on this board before. If your stchick consists of nothing but overdramatic partisan talking points don't expect to participate in them.

That is the funny part . . . unlike you who personally hates a gubmnet figure, I really dont think Obama or his administration are "saviors" or the Obamessiah". Those are RIGHT WING talking points, that really have no basis in reality.

I would really really like to give the Obama Administration the benefit of the doubt and give them time to deal with all the emergencies they have been dealt without people calling him the AntiChrist. Why? Because then the COUNTRY will succeed then too. I think rooting against ANY president is acting against the best interests of the America . . . yet some on the right would prefer to throw stones then be part of ANY solution that involves a De admin getting "credit". I am sure the same crap played out here during the Bush years against the Dems.

At least headuphisazazello sticks to facts most of the time . . even if they are fed to him by the Heritage Foundation.

Insinuating everyone who doesn't agree that Obama is a miserable failure has to be a lefty who worships him is obviously inaccurate on a multitude of indicators, and a weak schtick. You expect people hereto take you at face value when you pretend to ask serious questions after basing them on a completely retarded partisan premise? Best of luck with that.

I love how you socialist trolls think you're smarter than everyone else. Yeah, we get it - anyone who doesn't agree with you isn't serious and is "retarded". Typical.

I do take a lot of his actions personally and I do not like the man (surprised?)

I think he has absolutely dropped the ball (as have people in the past) on dealing with this immigration issue. We need to make some drastic changes to immigration policy and policing. His idea is to legalize all of those who are here, I totally disagree with this. This impacts me personally in a number o f ways. By legalizing all of the illegals it brings into the fold a whole set of people who will now be able to receive government services. These come out of my taxes. For those of you who do not live in an area with a high illegal hispanic population, you will not understand the impact of the illegals. For those of you who do, you read this negative impact every day in the papers as medical, police/law enforcement, educational and other resources are strained in order to meet their needs. In order to meet the costs property taxes and sales taxes are raised.

I take personally the manner in which he has handled the healthcare legislation. This impacts me and my business. The legislation leads me to re-evaluate how much I will grow my business and the manner by which I will employ people.

I take personally the idea that he may allow the Bush tax cuts to expire. This effects me personally by placing a huge tax on my potential inheritance. Monies that taxes have already been paid on at least once, in most cases. I do not like the idea that I may be forced to sell part of the estate that is not in cash simply to pay the taxes on it. This policy also effects me on capital gains, taking money directly out of my pocket.

I take personally the fact that he will use my tax dollars to bail out "too big to fail" corporations while this recession has cost my company a great deal of money. He's not sending me any checks or helping to free up the lending market for developers upon whom I rely.

I take personally the fact that he rails on the wealthy and vilifies those who are productive. Implying that we have had it easy during the recession and need to step up and pay our fair share. I've paid my fair share for years and in many cases much more than many people make in a given year. For this I am criticized and asked to take shoulder a bigger tax burden while 50% of my fellow Americans pay nothing to shoulder their piece of the burden.

I take personally the fact that he has lied to the American people. He promised to rid legislation of earmarks, he promised to have a transparent administration, he promised to post bills on line prior to signing them, he promised to repeal parts of the patriot act, he promised to ban lobbyists from his administration... Has he kept any of these promises.

I don't take it personally, but I will deride him for the manner in which he has handled the Oil spill cleanup. I've gone through his gaffes in this real ad nauseum so will spare the details.

I greatly dislike the man. I don't like the manner in which he has handled the bulk of his time in office. I think many of his policies are misguided and he has had an overall negative impact on this country. I think the recovery has been stalled due to some of the policies or lack thereof, creating uncertainty in the direction this country is headed.

I blame him, the president, I blame the highly partisan congress and senate and yes I persoanlly dislike many of the members of these to esteemed houses. I personally dislike GA's republican governor, I personally dislike a number of GA's republican congressmen, because I do take what people do in washington personally, because I hate to see them slowly tearing this country apart for their own personal gain, whether it be monetary or for their own personal self aggrandizement.

Absolutely! Tossberg, you live in Wi right? I worked for Congressman Paul Ryan once upon a time. Guess what? He is a Republican. I want EVERY president and their time in office to be successful because then the COUNTRY would be successful.

I guess nobody can ask questions and hope to get answers in return. Like I said - I don't hear many arguments from the other side - if you would take the time and answer my questions or enlighten me on what I am missing I will more than happy read and possibly change my mind.

That is all I am asking but I guess it is not worth your time and effort?

You should watch the first 10 minutes of this clip. It is very funny, and may lighten your disposition , ,

Why Bush shouldnt be blamed . . .

I loved this from yesterday.

Fox News says for everyone who is blaming Obama's troubles on Bush shouldn't be. Yet they helped encourage the attitude of blaming the past President during the Bush years. It's hard to take the news seriously when everyone is on one side or the other. There's no more middle ground reporting.
