Savage Beatings
man I'm old. Never heard of at least 1/2 the groups y'all are throwing out. This happened to me today... went to a chiropractor appointment, and had a young woman (maybe 20 years old) massaging my back with some kind of electric wand. Anyway, she says to me "I heard on the radio that RUSH is playing at the State Fair this weekend. Everyone is talking about it. He must be really popular. What kind of music does he play?" The Sheikette was talking to one of her students and he said "Do you listen to Spose?" She said "Uh, who?" And he said "Oh, you must listen to OLD music, like Panic At The Disco." JUMbotron
After entering some of mine earlier, I went back the last couple of weeks and really dug into my iPod. I ended up with a comprehensive Top-20 list. I took Pink Floyd off my original list entirely. I tried to go back and listen to Dark Side start-to-finish, and simply couldn't do it like I used to. 1. U2 - Achtung Baby 2. My Bloody Valentine - Loveless 3. Catherine Wheel - Adam and Eve 4. Radiohead - The Bends 5. Rod Stewart - Every Picture Tells a Story 6. Tom Petty - Wildflowers 7. Neil Young - Decade (a compilation, I know) 8. Nirvana - MTV Unplugged 9. The Cure - Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me 10. Concrete Blonde - Bloodletting 11. David Bowie - Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust 12. The Church - Priest = Aura 13. The Replacements - All Shook Down 14. Mother Love Bone - Apple 15. Dinosaur Jr - Where You Been 16. Jane's Addiction - Nothing's Shocking 17. Orbit - Libido Speedway 18. Kent - Hagnesta Hill 19. Rolling Stones - Sticky Fingers 20. Steely Dan - Aja
