countryroads
My first year in FF and I need help with some stratagy. Is it wise to start a wr at flex when he plays on your opponents teams qb. Case in point my match up this week the guy is starting Rivers at qb. I own Floyd so would it be smart to start him at flex to try to counter balance Rivers points?
delfamdelfam
only if you think he's the guy that's going to get you the most points.
Bronco Billy
You start the guy who you think will get you the most points. What good does it do to "block" your opponent's QB if it means you have a WR on the bench that scores 4 more points than the guy you started? The notion of blocking has always baffled me... countryroads
My two options at wr3 are Santana Moss or Floyd. Kind of a toss up so in this case is it worth it? Floyd vs Jac SMoss vs Hou
Furd
Also known as negating. To answer your question, no. Unless you have some wacky scoring rule, the ff points scored by the players on your opponent's starting roster have no impact upon the ff points scored by the players on your starting roster. In the case of SD, Gates is just as likely if not more likely to get more yardage and score then Floyd. As others have said above, start the person who you think will get you the most points. If it's between two people that are more or less equal, then negation could be a determining factor but I wouldn't put too much stock in it.
