giantsfan
Am I being crazy/paranoid and letting Kubiak get in my head by thinking Ward may get 10 carries or so a week? We all know what Kubiak likes to do. Then we saw him make comments like he's a load and we'll see more of him speaking about Ward. I am just very concerned that we'll see something like 18ish carries for Foster to 10ish carries for Ward instead of 22ish carries for Foster to 6ish carries for Ward that we should see. I guess the big concern/question is should Foster owners be worried about Ward get 10 or so touches a game thus stealing those from Foster? I already have this vision of me sitting here Sunday (as Ward gets carries Foster should get) ripping into Kubiak when the game ends with Foster at 17 carries and Ward at 11. Am I crazy or do others have this fear?
Square
I guess, I'm fairly sure that Foster even with 18 carries is better than my other options so I don't think I'm going to sweat it right now. I have been considering dropping a player that hasn't panned out yet (Maybe Crabtree, although I'd like to wait) to pick up Ward as a handcuff. JUMbotron
Maybe a little later in the season, if Ward keeps practicing hard, grading out well in games. For now I wouldn't blink.
forever in debt to mo lewis
greg cosell, creator of nfl matchup, watches film on just about every game each week......also talks to people around the league who have watched game film.....hes on staff at another pay site....he usually posts a list of "shorts"...from his observations and convos....heres one that was pretty random and interesting from last week · Speaking of slow, back-up RB Derrick Ward looked very slow on his TD run. He’s probably close to being done. i understand the concern.....i think most of my concern would be them just trying to keep fosters workload down so they dont overuse him and wear him out....they want this guy on strong legs come playoff time so they can ride him if they need to...but im not too concerned....foster is still going to get his.... basically i dont think the threat comes directly from ward....it comes from whoever is going to get carries to keep him fresh....ward is slow and banged up...it was the raiders...i dont think youll see ward running effectively against a tough run d Edited October 8, 2010 by forever in debt to mo lewis
