I sure hope so...as long as it's Tolbert.

That's where I'm leaning too...

Check out the Chargers’ offensive stats from the last four games, and the final score:

Week 11: 38 rushes, 24 passes - SD 35, DEN 14

Week 12: 34 rushes, 23 passes - SD 36, IND 14

Week 13: 8 rushes, 39 passes - OAK 28, SD 13

Week 14: 43 rushes, 24 passes - SD 31, KC 0

Being in a 14-0 hole against Oakland did force San Diego to throw more, but what about when the Chargers trailed Denver 7-0 early? What about when they trailed Indianapolis 7-0 early?

No, San Diego is beating teams soundly right now with lockdown defense (No. 1 overall, No. 1 pass, No. 4 rush) and a punishing running game. Rivers is doing as much as he needs to do, but in those three wins, he trusted his offensive line to do the work.

So even though Tolbert and Mathews split carries down the middle at 16 apiece against KC, I like both of them as solid flex starts against San Fran. One of them will score better than flex numbers, and it will more likely be Tolbert, the bigger back for the goal line.

Is he worth a WR3 gamble?

Considering I'm too hesitant to start VJax I can't say I'd recommend Naanee as well

I get a feeling that this game could turn into a whole lot of Matthews, Tolbert and Sproles....

I'll be interested to see if Willis and Spikes are both active. I believe they are both suffering from hand injuries and were wearing casts at practice this week.

ETA: Willis and Spikes are active.

I feel like gambling this week. River's has to throw the ball somewhere & VJax won't see all the targets. Plus, I'm playing the No. 1 seed this week & need to swing for the fences. He can't be worse than B. Gibson or E. Bennett, can he???

I went with Naanee a few weeks ago when VJax and Crayton were out, figuring they had to throw to someone and Naanee would get the looks Crayton was getting. He did nothing and I found out later he aggravated his groin injury or whatever it was that kept him out, and he left the game at some point. Totally screwed me.
