JoJoTheWebToedBoy
We usually hold a small family reunion about this time every year. It has always been in Vegas (yep. a bunch of degenerate gamblers ), but since I'm sick of Vegas (I'm there at least 3 times a year on business) I suggested Reno this year because it's not that hot, still has gambling, and it's closer to those that attend, and after Reno the wife and I are headed to San Francisco for a few days of goofing off. It's been years since I was there so I'm looking for suggestions. Anyone have a favorite casino, restaurants, sites to see, things to do when not gambling..... rocknrobn26
I haven't been there in about 12 years and that was the only time, but I loved "John Ascuaga's Nugget". Friendly place, decent comps, good food, and nice rooms. It's in Sparks not Reno, but it had everything I needed.

Zooty
i haven't spent much time there..... more so in tahoe I have friends in Tahoe but they never seem interested in anything in Reno...probably cause they live in Tahoe But from what I hear there are "places to go" and "things to do" near Reno. But that probably isn't "family oriented"
